He is fussy with a whole bridle, so she uses a chin strap to keep the bit in place. They don’t always use this, in the jump off she had a full bridle to facilitate better control in the turns. You could tell he was much happier sans bridle.
I’ve never seen this before….it’s cool though. It just proves every horse is different
I like this. It shows much more consideration for the horse than I normally see, as I know a lot of people who would just put a bridle on anyway, not giving two shits about the horse’s discomfort. I also like the fact there’s no martingale, and if I recall correctly, As-Taro didn’t throw his head up or fuss about. So you don’t really need martingales, and sometimes I wonder if they’re superfluous. You see horses with them on but they throw their heads up anyway.. are they really doing their job?
